MABALACAT , PAMPANGA – A group of restored World War II military jeep enthusiasts will be converging at the Clark Airbase for the country’s first “period-authentic” re-enactment of the Battle of Bataan.
The event will be complete with several dozen people who will be playing roles as Japanese, American, and Filipino soldiers. They will be donning authentic military uniforms, weapons, and vehicles.
Lending their services to the event are members of the Philippine Scouts and the Philippine Army who will act as soldiers from the Allied forces. They will be wearing actual WWII khaki uniforms with M1928 and M1936 field gear.
They will also be carrying replicas of the famous M1 Garand and Springfield rifles that Allied soldiers used in battle.

Meanwhile, other volunteers will act as Japanese soldiers who will also be wearing period-authentic uniforms, weapons, and gear.
Specifically, the group will be reenacting the “Battle of Pockets” that happened on January 23 to 17. This was the when the Japanese invaders launched an all-out banzai (charge) against Allied troops at the Orion-Bagac Line in Bataan. During the actual re-enactment, a voice over will describe the scenes to watching audiences.
Apart from the re-enactment, there will be awards for those in the the most authentic military garb. Separate citations will be given to the best restored military jeeps.
The organizers of the re-enactment are MD Juan Enterprises and the Military Vehicle Collectors Club of the Philippines (MVCCP), in collaboration with the “Buhay ng Kasaysayan” and the Philippine Scouts Heritage Society Living History of Company.
MVCCP is composed military vehicle collectors, restorers, enthusiasts, retired military men, assemblers, traders, and hobbyists.

To Whom it may Concern,
We are trying to produce an epic war movie during WW2 in the Philippines regarding the lives and times of Capt Jesus Villamor and his pilots of the 6th Pursuit Squadron. The story “Days of Infamy” (Part 1 & 2)is about the bravery of Philippine Army Air Corps Airmen of the United States Armed Forces in the Far East (USAFFE) who fought against all odds during the invasion of the Japanese Empire in the Philippine Islands during WW II. That in spite of their antiquated aircraft almost obsolete during the start of the Pacific War flew and met a more superior Japanese Air Forces without hesitation to defend the country against her enemy. It is a story of valiant and courageous Filipinos and Americans making a last stand at Bataan and Corregidor hoping that reinforcement will come for it is only a matter of time this sentinel of freedom and democracy west of the Pacific will fall into the hands of the Japanese Empire.
Maybe with some arrangements with you and the members of the Military Vehicle Collectors Club of the Philippines (MVCCP), we can jointly produce this War movie paying our respect and tribute to our heroes and recognition to the world true Filipino heroism.
