TAYABAS, QUEZON – Quezon used to be one of the largest provinces in Luzon. It also shares some cultural ancestry with nearby provinces of Batangas, Laguna, and Nueva Ecija.
Kaliraya, as Quezon was previously called, was among the biggest, prosperous communities in the Philippines. Long history of Spanish and then Japanese occupation built many of traditions that shaped Quezon.
