TANAY, RIZAL— Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains, this resort offers an adventure-filled getaway for families or groups who want to reward themselves after a long week from work and school.
Located in Sitio Mayagay in Barangay Sampaloc, Pranjetto Hills Resort is about an hour and a half drive from the city, amply rewarded with a scenic view of the Sierra Madre.
The resort is a popular venue for wedding receptions but now aims to attract vacationers after installing outdoor adventure attractions including a zipline, Zorb rides, paintball and wall climbing.
Guests pay for each chosen activity, says receptionist Joyce Fermin. “This is actually an advantage because visitors can pay for only those activities they want to try,” she says.
A Zorb ride, which can accommodate two persons at a time, costs P100 per head if done on land and P150 per head if done in the pool. Wall climbing and rappelling costs P100 per person while paintball costs P250 per person.
Since the management aims to promote the resort as an adventure destination, it offers discounts for groups of 10 or more. Rooms cost between P3,000 to P4,000 depending on the number of people.
To get to Pranjetto Hills via private transportation, take Marcos Highway going straight to Cogeo passing by Palo Alto directly to Barangay Sampaloc. For commuters, you can take FX shuttles or or jeepneys from Cubao bound for Cogeo Gate 2 then look for jeepneys going to Sampaloc.
