TANAY, RIZAL— As its name implies, this newly opened resort caters to people who wish for a relaxing weekend but would not want to stray far from the city.
Located in Sitio Balimbing, about an hour and half drive from Metro Manila, Bakasyunan Resort also offers outdoor activities for those still itching to do something even while on vacation.
The resort has an infinity pool, about four to seven feet deep, facing Laguna Bay. There is also a smaller pool for kids.
The resort is surrounded by rainforest being part of the Sierra Madre range. You can either do horseback riding or rent an ATV if trekking on foot isn’t exactly what you have in mind. There is also a mountain bike trail for the more adventurous.
Or you can try dunking yourself inside a plastic ball, or Zorb, and go downhill. There is also a Mudslide; you can either do it alone or hold someone’s hand as the two of you slide down.
Those who crave for some downtime can either play table tennis, billiards or darts. There is also a videoke machine available.
Although the resort is not fully developed yet, it is still worthy of a weekend getaway if you crave for something to do for leisure. Entrance fee costs P100 for kids and P200 for adults.
