Located at the corner of North Avenue and the Quezon City Circle, the 65-hectare park is an affordable getaway with entrance to the wildlife park a mere P10 per head and free parking.
The park was established in 1954. Although it is not as popular as the Manila Zoo, it is a popular destination known for the wide variety of animals found in the park.
The park serves as a rescue center for exotic wild animals including the Philippine Eagle, the Philippine Deer, the “musang,” crocodiles, and different types of birds. There is also an aquarium where many types of fish are found.
The Philippine Eagle is a favorite among photographers who often frequent the park to take photos of the majestic Philippine Eagle.
There are no tour guides, but there are many signs boards seen on the walk way. If you get tired, there are available tables and chairs that visitors can use to rest or for picnics.
The place also has cottages by the lake which can be rented or reserved in advance. This spot is great for family pictures so do not forget to bring your camera with you.
If you plan to visit this place, you can take a jeepney going to Quezon City Memorial Circle or Lung Center or you can also take a cab which is easier.
