ANTIPOLO, RIZAL – Gravity bikes, or “G-bikes”, are like most normal bikes except for some key design changes, particularly on the low height of the bike frame, the downward placed handlebars, the 20-inch tires, and the lack of the chain foot pedals.
The rider bends forward almost flat on the frame with the knees and elbows tucked underneath the body. The knees and feet are rested on metal spokes. This is to reduce wind drag as the bike speeds up while going downhill, as well as to control the bike as it makes turns.
