Filipinos can excel in the Asian sport of ‘sepak takraw’

QUEZON CITY, METRO MANILA – Few people are familiar with “sepak takraw” but it’s a game that’s both fun and exciting, even if it’s only to watch.

Similar to the children’s game sipa, sepak takraw let’s players kick a rattan ball without dropping it to the ground. The tournament version of sepak takraw is similar to tennis, badminton and volleyball. Players have to send the ball to the opponents’ side of the court.
