QUEZON CITY, METRO MANILA – In the aftermath of Typhoon Sendong, various organizations have started donation drives to help victims, particularly those in hardest hit areas like Cagayan De Oro and Iligan.
Here are just a few of the legitimate places where people can send their donations, be it in cash or in kind.
Smart
Smart Money: Donors could send their financial donations to Smart Money acct. no. 5577-5130-6822-1104 at any BDO, Hapinoy or Cebuana Lhuillier outlets. Through text, Smart subscribers may donate by sending RED <amount> to 4143. Denominations are P10, P25, P50, and P100.
Globe
GCash: GCASH donations can be made to Red Cross by texting DONATE <amount> MPIN REDCROSS and send to 2882. Also for GCash, donations can be made by texting RED <amount> and sending to 2899. Denominations are P5, P25, P50, P100, P300, P500 and P1000.
Armed Forces of the Philippines
Donations in kind can be sent to the Civil Relations Service AFP at Camp Aguinaldo. The AFP will fly donations and relief goods via C130. Ayala Foundation
Donations can be made online. For cash donations, these can be sent through their bank accounts

Ateneo de Manila University
Donations in kind can be dropped at the campus at Ateneo QC at the Fr. Ortiz Hall, Social Development Complex from Monday up to Wednesday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
