PASAY CITY, METRO MANILA— Renewable energy sources and smart grids are two key trends that will shape the future of rural electrification in the Philippines, an official said.
“Renewable energy such as wind and small hydro plants are promising sources of sustainable energy in remote villages,” says Gabriel Tordesillas, general manager of Cagayan II Electric Cooperative and president of Rural Electrification Financing Corp.
