MANILA CITY, METRO MANILA – As part of the 150th birth anniversary of Jose Rizal, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) has started a campaign to look for individuals or organizations that embody qualities of the national hero.
The Rizal Awards will have two categories: Individual and Organizational. These chosen people must spearhead projects that support the Rizalian concept of love of country. They must also have been recognized in various professions for their efforts the benefit individuals and communities in the same manner that Rizal did for his country.
