QUEZON CITY, METRO MANILA – In line with this week’s EDSA I anniversary celebrations, images from a coffee table book depicting President Benigno Aquino III’s rise to the presidency are put up on display.

The life-size photos, taken from the “The Inaugural” published Maria Montelibano, can be viewed in an ongoing exhibit at the The Block in SM North EDSA.

Mallgoers can walk through the images divided into five major categories that highlights significant events, from the presidential campaign to Aquino’s inauguration as the country’s 15th president.

One photo shows Aquino flashing the familiar Laban (or L) sign popularized by his mother, the late former President Cory Aquino who rose to power after the 1986 People Power revolution that toppled the regime of then President Ferdinand Marcos.

A wall bearing the phrase “I was there” contains signatures of people who supported Aquino since his campaign.

The exhibit was officially launched last February 17 in ceremonies led by Vice-President Jejomar Binay and the president’s sister Viel Aquino-Dee.
