MANILA CITY, METRO MANILA— Eating tikoy and handing out red envelopes called ang pao are just some of the rituals Filipino-Chinese families believe bring good luck on New Year.
Chinese New Year this year falls on February 3. This early, the Binondo district (or Chinatown) is already teeming with color and is preparing for one of the most-anticipated events within the community.
