PASIG CITY, METRO MANILA – Ten years ago to the day, millions of Filipinos once again joined forces to oust a president. Joseph Estrada, who had sat for only two years, was forced out of Malacanang.
On January 20, 2001, then-vice president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo took her oath as the 14th president of the Philippines in front of millions of Filipinos at the EDSA Shrine in Ortigas Center.
