QUEZON CITY, METRO MANILA – Greenpeace International urged President Benigno Aquino III to fulfill his promise of starting a “green revolution” by encouraging investments in renewable energy and reduce the country’s reliance on fossil fuels by 2020.
Prior to the elections, the environment group conducted a ‘green’ presidential survey last May. Aquino scored low in the survey but offered to support the growth of renewable energy sources if he becomes president.
