PASIG CITY, METRO MANILA – Every election season, nearly half a million teachers are deployed to thousands of precincts to serve as board of election inspectors and canvassers. It is during these periods that teachers suffer the most.
Some are harassed by losing candidates and their supporters. Some are bribed. Worse, a few are killed.
