QUEZON CITY, METRO MANILA – These handmade and all-natural heat pads may come in handy if you want to set up your own spa at home after a long day at the office.

Therapeutic heat pads have become a dime a dozen in the market but entrepreneurs Issa Sarza and Allen Quintos believe their Aroma Heat Pads stand a chance against the competition because the products are unique and authentic.

“If you’re going to market a product, make sure it’s genuinely beneficial to consumers,” Issa says. She started the business with Allen in 2009 in response to the sub-par quality of locally available products.

Banking on their previous venture into organic wellness products and the current trend on  spa treatments, the two introduced more affordable heat pads but chose materials which they felt effectively delivers the desired effect at much lesser costs.

“We want to give practical people their daily dose of the spa experience without having to spend too much or make extra effort in going to spa and salons,” Issa says.

Unlike more expensive products that contain flaxseed, corn, or wheat, Aroma Heat Pads are stuffed with rice and then infused with organic lavender essential oils. These heat bags when heated or cooled emit a calming aroma and a complementary soothing effect to the body.

Aroma Heat Pads are ideal for muscle pains, sprains, muscle swelling and cramps. They can also be used as aromatherapy eye patches to pamper you during long travels or late night work shifts.

Issa says customers are assured that they will not be getting headaches and other undesirable side effects usually drawn from sub-standard therapeutic spa products.

“The idea behind aromatherapy is to sooth physical and mental strain, not to worsen it. Sadly, others don’t observe this principle,” Issa says, adding they learn from customer feedback and strive to educate buyers on being smart about products that concern their health and physical wellness.

Except for pregnant women, Aroma Heat Pads are safe for use for consumers of all ages. These all-natural heat pads also make good corporate giveaways and alternative gifts for the coming holiday season or any other occasions. Issa and Allen market Aroma Heat Pads online for P100 (3 inches by 8.5) and P200 (6 inches by 8.5) a bag.

Over the past two years, Issa shares that they’ve learned an important lesson in their humble venture.

“You have to be flexible in dealing with customers. More importantly, give importance to the product because if this delivers its intended benefits, customers will patronize it,” Issa says.
