SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA— Melchor Montoya’s long hair and bearded face suits the role he plays every year during Holy Week.
Melchor takes on the role of ‘Kristo’ (Jesus Christ) for the annual senakulo and crucifixion rites in Barangay Sta. Lucia. For 22 years now, residents here know him as the man who gets nailed to the cross on Good Friday.
