MANILA CITY, METRO MANILA – According to a medical expert, belly dancing is a good exercise for pregnant women because it prepares them for labor.
“Sayuntis”, coined from sayaw ng buntis (dance of the pregnant), was developed by Dr. Stephanie Fay Cagayan, an obstetrician and gynecologist, and Joy Santos, one of her students at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine.
