QUEZON CITY, METRO MANILA –Kitchen of Cakes & Coffee or K.O.C.C.O is a favorite hangout place of media practitioners in Quezon City.

Even those belonging to rival media outfits including newspapers, and radio and TV networks frequent this small café along Tomas Morato where they all can relax and forget about the competition.

Trini Sierra supervisor at K.O.C.C.O says from a quaint café by day, the place transforms into either a board room where media men can meet for a pre-production meeting or to simply chill out.

He says respected news personalities from both radio and TV love lingering in the café during the wee hours of the evening and chatting over cups of either the house-blended brewed coffee or the famous “Coffee Alamid”.

Along with the coffee, Trini says media practitioners would often order K.O.C.C.O bestsellers like the Mango Walnut Torte and The Decadent.

Trini says the breads and cupcakes are all homemade, which is perhaps why the pastries are a favorite of diners.

If you’re tired of giving the same bouquet of roses for Valentine’s, then you might want o get some “bread bouquets” from K.O.C.C.O.

One thing very noticeable about the café is its invigorating interiors. The warm lighting still brightens the yellow room enough to entice you for a light meal.

If you want hot meals for starters, K.O.C.C.O serves affordable pasta and rice meals as well.

Trini says K.O.C.C.O tries to make the customers feel comfortable and always welcome, even if it means stretching a few working hours to serve them.

“We have regular customers who we know are hardworking people so the least we can do is to accommodate them especially if all they seek is a place where they can just relax,” he says.
