SAN JUAN CITY, METRO MANILA – The Philippine Barista & Coffee Academy Incorporated is seeking to train more globally-competitive “baristas” as the high demand for skilled workers both here and abroad continues.
“There is now a paradigm shifting in tourism and hospitality courses in the country. Even in schools, the study of coffee has become a totally independent part of the syllabus,” says Maria Susanna Edillo, one of the coordinators of the “barista” workshops conducted by the Philippine Barista & Coffee Academy Incorporated.
