MONCADA, TARLAC – This town is blessed with the abundance of kamote and aside from providing farmers livelihood, the humble sweet potato is now being turned into wine.
It was in 2003 when former Mayor Estrelita Aquino ventured into sweet potato food processing, initially creating delicacies like buchi, “crunchies”, and kamote juice, among others.
