MAKATI CITY, METRO MANILA– Microsoft has started a campaign in the Philippines targeting small-to-medium scale enterprises (SMEs) who are in need of an office “makeover” with their office setup and equipment being replaced by better ones.
The campaign “Transform Your Business” is actually a contest where Microsoft would give upgrade packages such as laptops, printers, and Microsoft products to SMEs who need to have their office made over.
The contest is offered through Microsoft’s local portal for businesses I.T. Work! SME owners who have between five to 249 computers are eligible to join.
Participants must register at the website, complete all the required information, and send a one- to two-minute video explaining the nature of their company, their needs, and why they should win the contest.
Entries must be submitted not later than March 31. The video requirement must be uploaded on the IT Works Philippines YouTube channel.
Winners will be announced on April 10. There will be three winners; the third place winner will get one multifunction printer, three Office 2010 Pro Plus, and a P10,000 office makeover package.
The second place winner will get one netbook with Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, five Office 2010 Pro Plus, and a P25,000 office makeover.
The top prize winner will get a server with Microsoft’s Small Business Server Essentials software, two laptops, 10 Office 2010 Pro Plus, and a P40,000 office makeover package.
In a statement, Microsoft Philippines Small and Midmarket Solutions Director Bernadette Nacario said the contest aims to highlight the essential tools that would make SMEs more competitive in their chosen industries.
By showcasing these tools, SMEs can make better decisions regarding their office infrastructure and to encourage growth and innovation in the company.
“Businesses, whether big or small, continuously battle economic circumstances and stiff competition and it is important for these organizations to understand how technology can augment the way they do business.”
“We want to emphasize that Microsoft made various technologies easily available, helping SMEs to maximize investments, retain customers, reduce costs and risks and, most importantly, perform better,” Nacario said.
