MUNTINLUPA CITY, METRO MANILA—If there is one thing Ana Gonzalez loves to do besides writing, it’s turning almost anything and everything into a piece of craft.

“I even sold big things in class like beaded slippers and tie-dyed sandos,” Ana says.

It wasn’t long before her classmates took notice and her friend suggested she sell accessories instead so it’s lighter and easier to bring.

Ana gave it a shot and soon enough, word spread fast and it became a hit particularly among teenage girls.

The Anagon Collection became an online accessories shop well-known for its hippie-themed pieces like wreaths, bands, braided bracelets, beads and rings.

It also offers customized wire accessories like the key chains and connector rings and bookmarks.

“I get inspiration from a lot of things like my travels, muses and also popular trends and form them in a unique way by adding personality to it,” she says.

Six years since The Anagon Collection was established, Ana has created a nice market especially among the modern-day flower children.

Her secret as a self-made entrepreneur?

Find your niche, and don’t rely on fads. Not saying you don’t follow them, but create something that will make you standout. I am always on the look-out for ‘this’!” she says.
