MAKATI CITY, METRO MANILA- Lodie Magsaysay has always been fond of trinkets especially those that are adorned with flowers and butterflies.

Her love for accessories inspired Lodie to put up Crafting Time five years ago along with her mother Lomie. They first started designing paper flowers and beaded accessories.

Now, the business run by this mom and daughter team combines all these and use polymer clay as their base material.

“I do the designs for our pieces whenever I have free time from my full-time job while my mom is in-charge of assembling the materials together for the finished product,” says Lodie.

They also incorporate recycled items like used bottle caps and dried water lilies, which they acquire from a livelihood community in Taguig.

“Having your own business shouldn’t just be about making profit. It should also serve a purpose and be beneficial for members of our society who are in need as well as the environment,” adds.

Crafting Time offers a wide-array of hand-made accessories like wired bangles, lockets, vintage-inspired necklaces, floral earrings and other items like keychains and phone “charms”.
