QUEZON CITY, METRO MANILA – Southeast Asian Airlines (SEAIR) recently launched InFlight Boutique & Bistro with all-Filipino products onboard international flights to Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, and Bangkok (via Clark).
Sales from the InFlight Boutique & Bistro will benefit non-government organizations (NGOs) that provide skills training and employment of underprivileged and disadvantaged individuals.
Beneficiaries include the WE International Philippines, and International Justice Mission Manila and Visayan Forum through Project HOUSE.
The 100% Philippine-made product line-up includes natural and child-safe home products by Messy Bessy; skin care products made with premium organically-grown ingredients from Leyende; Philippines’ first artisan chocolates by Theo & Philo; premium-grade virgin coconut oil by Next 2 Nature; handcrafted novelty items by Gifts & Graces; premium leatherware from Fino; and homegrown cigars by Tabaqueria.
Messy Bessy is a manufacturer of natural, biodegradable skin care & household cleaners. It was established as the first enterprise of Project HOUSE, a group of enterprises that employ and educate formerly abused, trafficked, incarcerated, and impoverished young adults.
Leyende offers training fand employment opportunities for disadvantaged women from various NGOs including International Justice Mission Manila, Visayan Forum, and WE International Philippines.
Theo & Philo Artisan Chocolates is made from premium cacao grown in Davao and comes in various flavors such as Barako Coffee and Labuyo (native chili). The company employs employs graduates of WEInternational Philippines, which sponsors education and helps find employment for its graduates from the Smokey Mountain community in Tondo.
More products will be added in December, according to SEAIR.
“The company wants to help create more awareness for top quality Philippine products that are made with excellent quality and craftsmanship,” said SEAIR president Avelino Zapanta.
International SEAIR flights are being sold in cooperation with Tiger Airways through the SEAIR-Tiger Airways Partner Airline Programme. SEAIR is the first Tiger Airways Partner Airline in the Asia Pacific region.
SEAIR is the Philippines’ second oldest airline and is the first airline based in Clark. It operates commercial flights to the country’s fastest growing tourist destinations including Boracay, Batanes, and Palawan.
Now on its 16th year of operation, the airline is expanding its reach regionally with its current jet services to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau. Clark-Bangkok-Clark flights will start on October 31.
