PASAY CITY, METRO MANILA— The Philippines should increase its seaweed production to take advantage of demand from abroad, according to an official.
Cesar Pagdilao, director of the Philippine Council for Aquatic and Marine Research and Development (PCAMRD), said a 15 percent increase in production would mean the country will no longer import seaweed from Indonesia.
