MANILA, Philippines- Instead of blaming the media, police should review how they failed to implement the proper guidelines when it comes to media coverage of an ongoing crisis, the National Press Club (NPC) said.
Police and local media have been lambasted for a bloody hostage-taking incident at the Quirino Grandstand where eight hostages have been killed along with the hostage-taker, Rolando Mendoza, a former police officer.
