LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — The Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of San Gabriel Valley (FACCSGV) is partnering with Filquest Media Concepts, Inc., according to FACCSGV President Johnny Chua.
In California, Chua met with Filquest Media Adviser Roger Lim where the former said he “looks to forge a relationship with Filquest Media to connect with our kababayan back home in the Philippines and around the world through www.loqal.ph.”
The partnership comes at the heels of Filquest Media’s content licensing agreement with Yahoo! Philippines for the Internet giant’s Purple Thumb site. Filquest Media — through loQal.ph — provides Yahoo! Philippines with stories, photos and video about politics in general and the recently concluded Philippine elections won by Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III as President and Jejomar Binay as Vice President.
loQal.ph is a developmental news website that seeks to showcase the Filipino as well as Philippine products and businesses. The website is owned and operated by Filquest Media, a duly registered multimedia company in the Philippines. Read more about loQal here.
Chua said that the Filipino-American populace in the valley has grown much in recent years. He said that some 75 percent of the businesses in the Amar-Azusa area are being anchored by Filipinos.
